Book Review #18 : Claiming you in Eden by Amelia Danver

Author : Amelia Danver
Genre : Romance
Ratings : ⭐⭐⭐⭐/ 5

This is the first book of the Brotherhood series.
This is a story of Cathryn, a 19 year old girl who just started with her university life. She goes to a sorority party on invitation from her friend to take a break from her busy schedule. Things take a drastic turn when after the party Cathryn along with her friends are abducted by Brotherhood,  a group of criminal gang who are involved in human trafficking and other criminal activities. She was kept captive under Alec, one of the henchman who has developed a liking for her since the time he saw her at the sorority party. He tries his best to save her from the gang and tries to help her handle depression. While staying together they both fall in love with each other exploring each other's sexual limits. Everything is going fine until the gang decided to sell all the girls including Cathryn.

Will Alec save Cathryn?

Who is Alec and why is he saving her?

Will Cathryn return home or will this be the end of her?

What happens to all the other girls?

The story has very interesting plot and the author has covered most sensitive topics like rape, human trafficking, drugs etc. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster and It's interesting to see how the author had given advises at the end of each chapter. That's a unique thought.

I felt a little overwhelmed at the plight of the girls and we hear every now and then about him an trafficking, it's hard to imagine what all they go through and how they survive with such extremities in real life. Hope this never happens to any girl.

For people who are new to erotic romance it could be little difficult to read the book as it contains a lot of sensual, erotic scenes. I was very anxious while reading the book to know the ending but with a cliffhanger at the end we are kept in anticipation and excitement for the next book. Can't wait to read the sequel.

Overall it was a good read.

Warning : This book contains a lot of adult stuff so I wouldn't recommend this to children below 18 yrs.

About Author :
Amelia Danver is a pen name used by the author of A Tale of Two Kingdoms (Sorean and Ikharyn) and Claiming You in Eden. She was an aspiring sci-fi writer, being a science and medical student previously. Before her first novel, she had written fanfiction for Harry Potter and Star Wars. After publishing her first erotic romance novel, she is totally, completely hooked on writing this genre. Maybe the process has stimulated her limbic system too much! She currently enjoys writing at home with her dogs during the COVID-19 pandemic, and her readers can look forward to more of her novels in the coming months!
