Why you need to read everyday?

🌺Everyone are so busy in our lives that we hardly read books.. But we don’t understand that reading isnnot just for fun, it benefits you in so many ways . Here in this post I will give you few benefits of everyday reading that you can’t possibly miss out. So let’s get started.

💐But before that, if you like my post please like, comment and share and don’t forget to follow my blog.

1. Strengthens your writing skills

Everyone try to improve their writing skills by focussing on grammar, and vocabulary. But just being grammatically correct doesnt make you a good writer. An effective writing comes from good reading. Most importantly every writer need some inspiration to get started which you can attain in abundance through reading.

2. Improves your memory and concentration

Roberto Bolaño says, “Reading is like thinking, like praying, like talking to a friend, like expressing your ideas, like listening to other people’s ideas, like listening to music, like looking at the view, like taking a walk on the beach.”

Reading puts your brain to work just like how exercise affects your body. While reading your brain tends to focus only on what’s happening in the book and nothing else comes to your mind. The more we read the more we tend to concentrate on the book and link cause and effect. And with consistent reading habit you can avoid distractions better. And while reading you tend to memorize and recall names, plot, places training your brain to retain more information.

3. Improves your imagination

Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create.

                                     – Albert Einstein

Reading broadens our imagination by stimulating the right side of our brain. When you read novels your mind puts you in that fantasy world and you try to imagine a lot of things. With consistent reading and exercising your imagination and opening up your mind to new ideas and perceptions will increase your creativity.

4. Increases your vocabulary

Researchers have found that students who read books regularly, beginning at a young age, gradually develop large vocabularies.
Reading books is the best way to increase your exposure to new words. The more you read, the better your vocabulary would be.

5. Expands your knowledge

Reading a wide range of books will expand your general knowledge and to acquire specific knowledge you need to read books on specific topic or subject. Reading more gives you new ideas, new information which further helps you to converse better with people.

6. Deepens empathy

Reading helps us to understand what others are thinking and feeling  because we tend to link connect ourselves with the characters and how and what they are feeling in the story at a particular time
Reading helps to improve our relationships with others with great empathy.

7. Reduces stress and helps you relax and boosts your mood.

Reading is the best way to avoid stress than listening to music, playing games or going for a walk. Reading helps you to avoid outside distractions. You can read variety of genres to lift your mood.

8. Shows you a new perspective

Every book teaches you something in life. When you read a book you start thinking and analysing the story and you somehow imagine how the story will end, what does he/she do next , which in turn changes your thinking and gives you a new perception of things.

9. Great for self improvement

As we discussed earlier reading improves your cognitive skills and helps you de-stress and improves your knowledge by improving you vocabulary and thinking skills. Self development is one such thing I personally fell every person should focus on and there are tons of books for your self development.
